Home heating oil and low sulfur diesel fuel (road diesel) are practically the same thing. In England, they have to put dye in the home heating oil to keep people from using it in their diesel engines.

Top 5 states that consume heating oil: #1 New York, #2 Massachusetts, #3 Pennsylvania, #4 Connecticut and #5 Maine. So the Democrats control #1, #2 & #4 and almost #3. Let's see how they like their party's policy on fossil fuel for home heating when they are hit in the wallet.

He is absolutely correct especially on the Home heating oil/Diesel issue. It is a refining issue and will not fix itself. The big oil companies will not build new refineries due to them taking a long time to build and knowing the demand will not be there in the future. By the time they are built, they will only have a couple years of being profitable. This has been known in the industry for some time, it is something that the change to away from fossil fuels has created (and yes we have to switch from fossil fuels). We can blame our politicians all we want but it is a worldwide problem that no politician created or can fix (the problem is actually much less of a problem here in the US, our fuels are still much cheaper than the rest of the world).

I live in New England. Low income people can not pay these prices for heating oil. We are talking about them having to spend 25% or more of their income on heating. Many live "paycheck to paycheck" so can never have the minimum delivery cost needed on hand. It's just not possible… This is an impending disaster.
People here are stealing wood pallets to heat their homes…next they will be burning their furniture…
In upstate New York like St Lawrence county people use oil to heat their homes so they will be cold.
