Incredibly disappointed at all the women- especially young women and women of color- who have been tricked and who are continuing to fool themselves that they don't have the right to bodily autonomy. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That's what we've been promised as citizens of this country but clearly that promise wasn't as sacred as we thought.
According to the current right-wing federalist society's Soopream (sic) Cowart (sic), we must wait until babies are born so that they can become assault weapon targets.
Good no more abortions just adoptions
For well over 60 years I have held the Federal Bench and the Supreme Court in the very highest respect. That respectability began to erode when they decided that:
1. "Two presidents should be declared winners, even without winning the popular vote."
2. "Corporations are people and their abundant supply of $$$.gives them the same freedom of speech as every U.S. citizen."
3.. States with shameful voting rights legacies "no longer need any federal oversight or regulation."
THIS WEEK, however, the right-wing idealogues on the Supreme Court flushed ANY remaining hard-won respect RIGHT DOWN THE CRAPPER!
1. In Maine they decided that "Denying goverment funds for CHRISTIAN schools is a violation of their First Amendment Rights."
2. "New York's gun regulations (and any other state firearm laws) are unconstitutional."
3. "Abortion, under ANY.AND ALL circumstances is illegal."
I am so saddened that the wonderful country where I was born in 1946 (and put my precious behind in harms way in Vietnam), has fallen prey to right-wingers who have ABSOLUTELY NO democratic nor moral principles other than "owning the libs."
