In the US Airways fight 1549 it had the altitude, time and Capt Sullenberger’s forethought to turn on the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) before he lost battery power with only the Ram-Air-Turbine (RAM) for electrical power before losing all flight control power; the business jet was too low and didn‘t have the time when they lost both engines.

I love people saying it was out of fuel.. you can see the grass full of it 60 feet away. He pulled the engines back into idle killing them, look at his flaps, they are fully extended, as they should be for this, but to be fine and talking about next order from ATC to engines are dead, yeah it’s is pilot error.
If fuel had been an issue, he would have spoken up sooner, and flying straight in,
Instead of passing and doing what he did
They are caught on video running from the crash. They're gonna have a hard time claiming injuries in the lawsuit.
