Rail roads have defect detectors every 20 miles that look for excessive heat and other issues and radio the conductor and dispatchers with specific axel identification.
The crew made a report and tried to stop the train. They were not permitted to do so. Blame these powerful monopoly corporations who ignore regulation and break the safety laws and have run amok over the rights of the people
Why in hell do we send trains hauling hazardous chemicals through sensitive, heartland areas anyway?
Small truck loads are one thing…but well-more than a hundred thousand pounds on many freight cars is playing with disaster.
If we can reroute air traffic away from sensitive airspace, we certainly can figure out how to transport hazardous chemicals without endangering lives and food-producing regions.
