  1. Buy from a dealership

  2. Don't buy cars on Facebook or on OfferUp

  3. Been there last year

  4. “Buy from a dealership you trust”. NO SUCH PLACE ON EARTH.

  5. Coming from a car salesman, “Go to a dealership you trust” 😂😂😂

  6. This is the problem with car buying, women need to have a man be involved when buying a car, with all due respect

  7. pours Mt.Dew into champagne glass and lights candle It's a beautiful world out there folks. Nothing like a news channel promoting dealership purchases. I'll stick to my old cars here! Have fun everyone else.
Btw if you unhook the battery and touch the leads together to drain the system. It should reset the odometer… But they didn't tell you that, just go to your dealership. Lololol

  8. A real red flag is seeing a owner who owned a car for a long period of time or a new owner who just bought the car re selling it and the last odometer reading on the title is very similar to the odometer reading now say its up 10,000 miles in 10 years in reality it went up over 100,000 miles and the next owner just switched the odometer before thy retitled it. Because you put down the odometer reading when you register your new used car u bought they ask u the nilege and they only have the old mileage from when the old owner titled it in there name years ago

  9. This reminds me of Matilda’s dad 😂

  10. Facebook does nothing for you when it comes to fraud, possibly only when law enforcement is involved. You report the person and check months later they’re still there. Facebook 😂🤣

  11. Literally every car on Facebook

  12. People wouldn't have this problem if the US wasn't so car dependent. Ask government leaders what they're doing with Infrastructure Bill Funding and why they're not investing into public transit, trains, light rail, or safer infrastructure for bikes and pedestrians!

  13. Went to carmax yesterday n they accused my vehicle of being over clocked.. seems likes its a national scam

  14. Dealerships are more of a scam than ever. Here's how you protect yourself:

    1. When you look at a car, look at the wear and tear of the steering wheel, driver seat, and most importantly, the foot pedals. If it's higher mileage, those will be worn in more.

    2. This can technically go with 1, but overall wear too can tell you a lot. Pop the hood and look for written dates (oil change stickers, inspections, etc.). The oil filter is another common place for notes too (I write down miles on mine). Get a carfax if possible too. Check for rust too. Look at the frame and the supports of the seats. Just because a car has low mileage doesn't mean it's healthy. Rust on the frame (not just superficial but actual decay) is dangerous. Rust on the seat supports could mean a few things – If it's just the driver seat, it's probably just from a spilt drink or water from their shoes. But this still shows age. If it's on both seats, the car either had a lot of operation or worse, was in a flood.

    3. Some mechanics do it for free, but most an hour of labor. Get a pre purchase vehicle inspection. Whether the car is brand new off of the lot or it's your first car. Having a second or third set of eyes is critical. True mechanics have amazing scan tools to check all sorts of live data and possible codes aka check engine lights. If a dealer or private seller does not want you to get it inspected, DO NOT PURCHASE THE CAR! It's a red flag and they honestly should've had it inspected before selling it. If the dealer doesn't let you drive off of the lot with it to check it out and get it inspected by your mechanic, they're hiding something. If a private seller does not let you get it inspected, it's not worth the hassle. If they're iffy about it, invite them to come along for the ride. If they still refuse, do not buy it!

    4. Common sense. If something is too good to be true, it probably is.

  15. The question is what the heck happened to the person or businesses who rolled back the odometer?????????? Are they arrested and jailed? If they aren't severely punished for rolling back odometers then they just keep doing it!

  16. Of course it’s cheating, nobody ever got rich being honest 😂.

  17. Harry Wormwood DID IT!!!

  18. The miles on a car are almost of no concern, with today's precisely built engines and quality oils.
A similar reciprocating engine in airplanes, will go millions of miles before overhaul.( 2000 hrs is typical compression check).
The problem is that the rest of the car is crap…but, can be easily rebuilt.
Many mercedes have over 750000 miles on them.
Of course, this assumes factory tune uips etc.
A car with 20000 miles can be trash, while another with over 100000 miles is a good buy.

  19. Don't people check the VIN history before buying?

  20. I don't trust anybody, Especially a Dealership.

  21. Same thing happens with expired food at grocery stores, they doctor up the food to look fresh

  22. the reporter is way too hot for NC!

  23. You can almost never trust a car dealer.
The problem is- there are many wanna-be "dealers" who don't have any documentation. They are the small fry, just waiting to get their grimy hands on larger deal sizes, that's why they are doing this. Eventually they will rip off enough people so they may get the legal dealers' license where they interact with the government to separate you from your hard earned money in a more legal fashion. Its a racket all the way down.

The larger dealers have enough traction to just simply over-charge you for their cars, and just because you have no other option you pay for it….

  24. Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today……

  25. Used cars are a scam anyway you look at it third party reports like Carfax exist to take the dealer of the hook from responsibility not to protect the buyer and there is no real way for the public to verify much at all about a car's history sad to say

  26. She wanted to buy her 16-year-old daughter a 2010 Buick Enclave for her first car? Does her daughter have three children and gave up on life already?

  27. It nice working with Maskoffaid they got me 1.4BTC though hacking is real and reliable
