As first reported by the Wall Street Journal, U.S. Officials said that the China Eastern Airlines plane crash on March 21 is believed to have been caused by an intentional act, likely by the co-pilot.

I’ve been flying from a quite some time, ever since this 737 crashed not just this plane, there were actually 4 crashes that led from the pilot suicidal intention. German Wings, Egypt Air 990, Silk Air and one accident involving Embraer 165 in Africa. This causing a question before we board into plane next time. As being a citizen of this World, I request NTSB and any department that’s handling this investigation, to find the valuable cause of this crash.
Something really needs to change. The 2015 incident happened because German law does not give employers access to employee's medical records, they simply rely on the employees being honest. This system is perfectly understandable in most careers but, it needs to be different to employees who have lives in their hands. I don't think you would want a doctor who was having hallucinations to be operating on you or a pilot who was going blind and suffering from a psychotic depressive episode. Something needs to change, especially when airline are cramming more and more people in the planes.
well it seems obvious to make these assumptions; but there is no evidence presented here to prove this accusation
It's fun putting your life in other people's hands especially when those hands are attached to a nutcase. The people who didn't fire him after the suicidal thoughts are responsible and why aren't planes autonomous yet or at least with an autopilot that can recognise sabotage and remove the control from pilots.

They failed to mention Mozambique Airlines flight 470 which happened months before the German Wings crash, under the same exact circumstances. This actually has the potential of happening far more often especially today where mental health, and suicide rates are staggering among the younger populous.

When my mom first showed me the clip of the plane nose-diving back in march, I instantly knew it was intentional. RIP to those who lost their lives!
When I first heard about the crash, I figured that it was intentional. My god, even if the co-pilot had problems he shouldn't have killed the passengers because of his personal problems.
One way to prevent it DONT LET SUICIDAL POILTS FLY OR EVEN GET ON A PLANE. Whither they were treated recently or far in the past 🤦🏽♂️
Also happened in Europe a while back. Some pilots are crazy. Hopefully they get regular psych evaluations.

Can we have them take a lie detector test before each flight? Just a few questions that take less than 5 mins. If test fails. Re assign a pilot and do more mental testing to get help to the pilot. ?

I'm suicidal and i have respect for those too and I understand and sympathize on why people take their lives but taking other with your bs is unexcusable. It makes me sick cause wtf i know you're troubled but that doesnt mean you can pass it to others. It was either the pilot trying suicide or the plane malfunction
