Police in Elyria, Ohio, are denying any wrongdoing in a search warrant raid that allegedly injured a 17-month-old baby already suffering from health issues.

These people are dumb. They are so into their work that they want to create more of it for themselves by going to homes where suspects no longer live. They have whole detective departments that apparently can’t figure out simple information like a current address.

Send the Police back for additional training, so that they will be able to read street addresses and apartment lettering correctly.

The comments by police " no chemicals components is BS! Flash Bangs do give off acrid chemical smell, so a person who has a respatoray disease or injury can be affected by the smoke.
The police say that the baby wasn't harmed at all, but it was the police who called for the ambulance. Now the doctors in the hospital am saying the child was harmed in the raid. Or should I say, "The botched raid." Who should we believe, the cops or the doctors?

Clearly the police are dumber than a box of rocks. When anyone claims that a flash bang "emits sound and light" but contains "no chemical component" only one of two things are true, they are completely ignorant of how reality works and is thus automatically unqualified to hold any position of authority whatsoever or they're lying through their teeth. A simple thought experiment of 'How do flash bangs work?' Well kids, it's either voodoo magic or a chemical explosion and since voodoo magic isn't real that only leaves chemical components that react to cause an explosion. The chemical residues including smoke, soot, and other airborne particulates are frequently hazardous to the gentile linings of human airways and other sensitive parts such as the eyes. Shock waves from the explosion can damage ear drums as well as airways.
The biggest problem is that cops don't care who gets hurt or who gets killed because they love them some flash bangs and with over a dozen trigger happy crazies at the door it's simply more proof that having police play games like they're "special forces" is a mistake. They're special all right which is why they have their very own armored short bus to ride around it. Let's remember the names of Bounkham Phonesavanhs and Brett Rosenau, lives altered or lost because cops don't think and they certainly don't care about anyone else. And it's the not caring that should disqualify them from their jobs.

Happens ALL THE TIME. I lost count the number of times we would go to serve a warrant on someone and the home address was a year or more out of date. Was absolutely frustrating. The worst ones were the courts. They'd issue a warrant for failure to pay child support or some other small offense, we would then spend an entire weekend going to addresses of people whose address info was over a year old hoping to catch a break. Usually amounted to about a 15% success rate.
How did it happen, the anchor asked at the end? Simple. Police are stupid and lazy. And to think, I used to back the blue. They are now a national embarrassment.

They are both lying and stupid. A flash-bang grenade operates using a chemical reaction. And when is America going to say Enough! Of these unconstitutional no-knock warrants? Thousands die every year as a result, many due to “oops, wrong address.”

The absolute, single, biggest thing that has had the effect of militarizing our law enforcement agencies has to be the fact that these law enforcement agencies along with emergency management services for their counties, are able to go to these government warehouses containing tons, and tons of military surplus and just take whatever they want for free, anything from sunglasses, to anti-personnel vehicles (basically tanks), and as much as they want. This is where they initially got their army fatigues (army clothes) battle helmets, and anything military that you can think of. I know this for a fact because my father was a retired Sheriff, and I distinctly remember back in the early to mid nineties him coming home with various military surplus items and explaining how cool it was that they had access to this equipment. Of course he was excited over the fact that they had David Clark aviation headsets (like pilots wear for communication), and "Top Gun" style aviator shades ( he was a pilot, and flew for the Sheriff's dept.). Whereas most other cops were ready to play army, so they got all kitted out and formed SWAT teams in every little po-dunk berg across the country. And that is probably the main reason we now have cops everywhere that think they are IDF commandos, out there treating the law abiding citizens in their jurisdiction like they are Palestinians !
