Of course it's "fair" to split the proceeds between the person who found it and the person who owned the land where it was found. Of course it's fair! What dummies.
The government will claim the thing for itself.
I call BS
ABC is a joke the way they reported this.
HEAVEN OR HELL, YOU CHOOSE!
Whoever repents of all his sins (turns from sins) and calls on the Name of the LORD, will be saved. He who died on a cross for the sins of the world, rose from the dead on the third day, and by His blood, whoever repents and believes, has full redemption of sins and eternal life.
Today is the day of your salvation, repent and confess Jesus the Christ now as your Lord and be saved, because you broke the law but He paid your fine with His life's blood.
For those with understanding: Matthew 24:40-41 will take place very soon, this is the sixth seal. This is the generation of the harpazo, rapture, and behold you will witness the trumpet blast that will make the sky recede as a scroll being rolled up! Therefore, be ready and be the five wise virgins, do not be the five foolish virgins! (Parable of the Ten Virgins.)
We need an adult in the White House. Miss hearing how adults communicate with world leaders peacefully and truthfully including we the people.
They will give the guy 50 bucks and keep the rest for the crown.
It is beautiful.
Iโm a bit skeptical of this story, but the necklace is a beautiful piece. Iโll believe it more when I see some sort of documentation of the piece, either in a painting or in some sort of document from the time. Until then, good find.
Completely fair!๐๐๐๐๐๐
Unbelievable!
If that was me that found it I would have kept it
What an honest guy, a lot of people would have said they found nothing
Im literally going to get me a detector
woah, they actually let him sell it? Thought the royal family would just snatch it back.
HOW does something like this get โlostโ ????
What a beautiful piece โจ๐โจ
All finds like this must be reported to the authorities in the UK. You will be prosecuted if you fail to do so and try to onsell it without permission. If something has been found buried, is made substantially of gold or silver and its owners or their heirs are unknown, it will be classed as โtreasureโ. Discoveries of treasure must be reported to the local coroner (government investigator) and it is a criminal offence not to report them. It is also necessary to report any finds to the landowner. The coroner will decide on the fate of the treasure and the finder is entitled to a finderโs fee if the find is ruled to be treasure. If ruled to be treasure, ownership passes to the Crown.
This is why you do not tell anyone what you find.
Jesus! Wow
Wonder how she lost it I'd like to hear the story.
Wow! That truly IS the "find of 100 lifetimes"!
Keep it and tell everyone it is a fake costume jewelry.
I spent alot of money on a metal detector. I find junk and pennies. That is because people seem to hate them and don't want you using them and Karen out on you. So in many places you are pretty restricted. Even just looking in the grass for dropped change, people don't seem to tolerate that.
I wouldnโt tell anyone I found that lmao
Bet they want it back
Now I wanna know, How much did he get for it?
Wow!
"Screamed like a school girl" ๐ As he should! Wow – Amazing find and wonderful piece of history
Is radio shack still a thing?
The royal family will claim it and they will win. Anything found in England belongs to the crown. Sucks!
Looks lovely from the outside but that love was tainted, did he ever loved her? Lol I can only imagine him screaming like Ned Flanders
I love History
With how British museum operates, this should have gone to a museum in another country so that nothing at all "British" were there .
The government you mean we found it
