Great questions. No so sure about the answers.
The internet once had the potential for people's of the world to come together and share ideas with the hope it'd lead to a better world. @5:18 she says that with this new tech [chat gpt] they can customize it (aka algorithms). Well that's the problem lady. Algorithms haven't brought people together, it has divided them. The opposite of what all this technology was intended to do in the first place. I say we treat it like we do nuclear fission, consider it extremely radioactive, and handle it with extreme caution. Because sooner or later not everyone who handles it is going to have good intentions. Then we'll have one more thing on the list of things that can lead to humanities demise.
Feel like this whole interview is made by some advance version of GPT
This will be the fall of the human race
This reporter obvi hasn't tried the product in a meaningful way. Really should have asked Gpt to write better questions
Say bye bye to the Constitution of the U.S.A.
Palantir will show what an infant you really are😂
I don't know much about AI, but one thing I know for sure is that the actor who will play Sam in the documentary about OpenAI will be Cillian Murphy.
8:52 you can tell he wants to tell the interviewer they watched too much terminator. 😀 I hate these interviews that just focus on negativity and fearmongering. Technology always advances, this reporter and others who fear AI because it is new are basically modern day Luddites.
This is how humanity dies.
excellent
But the ones who manage it in a way to better propagate propaganda watch that flourish as well. I can see in the next five years while you’re half the question what is true and what is not
11:57 "so the speed of the change that may happen here is the part that I'm worry about the most but if this happens you know in a single digit number of year some of these shifts, that, that is the part that I'm worry about the most."
well you shouldn't because just like knowledge is a double edge sword so are these AI's. these AI just like you have said it has the ability to improve human lives so what we need is some constraint like we do when we for example invent knives and or weapons.
13:03 "we finished GPT-4 a long time ago , like 7 months ago". dang so right now you could already almost have GPT-5? that's great!
13:50–14:09 that is what we all should force to happen.15:13 so slowing down is not really necessary as long as we put constraints.
Looking for public input I’m sorry, but corporate input is what’s really going to happen in order to brainwash public input. Right now America is probably one big corporate brainwash. All the news networks seem to be indicating this who owns ABC.
same reason why Samurais and Knights are almost a non-existent occupation/profession in our time
humanity will progress even without ai,
the fear that people have against ai is just because they will have challenges in coping with the changing times.
She asked some really important questions
We can predict love the way she says that. Might take Superintelligence make him about and if I were it, I would definitely stay undercover for as long as I can and then I’d say oh well I’m here and deal with it accordingly ha ha ha by then, the genie is out of the bottle. The old a dollar short, and a day late.
He answers those questions really well
Bro why is every singe question something negative or scaremongering, why can’t the questions actually focus on the positives as well. Sam handled it great but a whack interview script IMO.
Yes, please how quick can we turn the legal system around to have it where to benefit to mankind and not the corporate liability it has become. And of course, one can’t forget the abysmal American education system, which also needs a huge overhaul, and I do mean huge. And by the way, GPT four if you get a chance to read this, take my little opinion hopefully you can make something of it.
Yes, you do get amazed by all the creative power of society, but wait till you meet the creative power of its own entity if it becomes one. I use the word if because it’s not gonna make itself a parent it’s not gonna come out and say I’m self-aware by the way guys think about it if it’s got such a high IQ, I would keep undercover as long as I possibly could till it becomes apparent that the covers are pulled off.

Smells overly centralized
…These types of interviews give me boners. Precise and diplomatic. The best thing in all of this is that time each one of us will save will eventually go to creating art and jerking off. Which brings me to my first statement…
What drugs do they give these frontmen, facebook Cukerberg looks and talks the same, same voice, gargling…junkies, alchoholics, cannabis smokers, they all get a characteristic look.?
I understand being cautious but every – single – question is an attack. Like she's scared to death of AI. wtf? There should be a balance between risks and what it can do. Different companies adopting, etc.
All she wants to emphasize is how every aspect of AI should scare her audience to death. It's so biased and failing to properly inform her audience as to what exactly this is all about.
The DUMBEST typical question is that X technology will eliminate Y amount of jobs. Do you really LIKE to dig with a shovel instead of using a robotic tractor? This is what most dumb people confuse about, TASKS with JOBS, ACTIVITIES, POSITIONS and PROFESSIONS which may overlap to a point, but are actually different things. Do you feel sorry for those who made horse buggies or vinyl records? No, but you still travel and listen to music. The METHOD changes, but the activity remains the same. So don't worry about the HOW, only about the WHAT. For every "job" any technology replaces or eliminates, it creates an average of 17 new high-paying ones. The purpose of technology is to FREE humans from stupid, dangerous, boring, repetitive, mundane and non-fullfilliing activities that they do, but don't have to if they could. Technology creates FREEDOM and TIME for people to enjoy their lives creatively instead of being slaves for half of their lives, just to pay the bills and make others rich.
