Contract talks for about 340,000 UPS workers are expected to resume this week, but the union has already authorized a strike as soon as August 1. CNBC’s Frank Holland reports on what this means for UPS employees and those receiving deliveries.

I Find it funny that the USPS can all of a sudden handle the load when UPS was ready to buy them out years ago
My work gets the paychecks delivered by UPS for employees that don’t have direct deposit.
Guess FedEx and USPS will be picking up the slack, same with DHL.

Us in the air division never seen any extra pay like the management got there bonuses..and for any part timers
They will strike because the managers and supervisors think they can do it. After they have a heat stoke in this aug heat they will change the pay

1:07 – I can personally tell you this an absolutely FALSE statement. Post Office is absolutely not equipped to handle that volume. They dump their work on UPS when it's peak season and take days and sometimes weeks to pick up their own work.
Lets see the post office deliver the furniture ups delivers, the 150+ pound washers & dryers, patio furniture, tires, desks, auto parts….. I wana see this.

USPS can’t handle that volume of packages 📦 specially with those old @ss mini 1950 cars. Those UPS drivers work so hard for there money. No A/C sweating like pigs
I work for usps yea we don't have the capacity to get all there packages on top of regular mail.
The question is how much more pay for part time workers??

Maybe the problem is the Teamsters. Your workers deserve it everyone knows it. Teamsters have been negotiating for a Year and no solution. Seems like bad negotiations by the Teamsters. Everyone is so quick to blame Ups. Striking will only hurt the workers. Other companies are already ramping up to handle the extra freight if the strike happens. Not just Usps. Be careful.
UPS says go ahead and strike. They hold the bank. You will wear down before they ever will.

This is how the steel unions were broken.
We went on strike for better working conditions and better pay. No agreement could ever be made. Atlantic steel and other big steel companies closed their doors and immediately filed for bankruptcy so they did not have to pay out our pensions or our benifits.
Shortly after they filed for bankruptcy, they opened up again but under a different name.
Our jobs were taken by the first wave of immigrants that were suddenly flooding our southern border back in the 80s.
They worked for pennies on the dollar with no benefits.
The company will always look after their stockholders first, no matter what it takes.
If I had known, I would have taken my pension and quit before I let them push me out over a strike. They don't care if you starve.
I know the teamsters leader means well, but I don't think he is really paying attention to the big picture here , or is he and he's just playing along with the current administration.
There is a good reason that hundreds of thousands of people are being brought here every month. These people need jobs, and Joe needs votes.

I’m at driver for UPS and yes we are going on strike 🪧. No Air conditioner in our trucks and they’re not paying us good at all . Everyday we deliver in the heat in these trucks with no AC . Last week I almost passed out.
Whenever I hear the word union or teamsters, I think of Jimmy Hoffa and the Mob.

UPS is going to be pulling managers and supervisors on the road to drive and their logistic people as well. Who's going to do their jobs? Who's going to set up the routes every day? who's going to do the logistics? Who's going to load the trucks who's going to drive the tractor trailers? Who's going to fly the airplanes?
LOL US Postal Service? I talk to those guys every day they have nowhere to put packages ever see a mail truck? Who's going to deliver 160 lb treadmill? Who's going to deliver the trampolines 150-lb two boxes 8 feet long I think people are going to realize miserably how much are UPS driver does for you

Why so many (that are not me) insist on referring to the oxygen thief (Biden) as President? – He’s a usurping traitor that had to cheat and got help from the corrupt and treasonous (Pence) to get the posting. Ever since that oxygen thief has been there (before day 1, actually) he’s done nothing other than work at destroying the USA. – He refused to answer questions at the debate(s) and it was allowed to pass by those in on the graft (corruption) and cheating (not to mention covering up all his misdeeds prior).
It is yet another reason that I had to register with the FEC to run for POTUS 2024. (It should be visible online at some time after Friday 2 June, 2023.)
Note: Before Clinton got the posting I actually somewhat trusted those in the federal government were at least trying to work for the citizens of the USA and was content to simply vote and let them do their thing.

Wages and working conditions. People want dignity. People want to be able to afford cold cuts and bread and an apartment with a washer/dryer. To pay their bills and meet their needs. To go to work 5 days a week with a promise of a check that gives you food, a way to work, and a place to lay at night with dignity.
If you're not in a union, you are on some rich dude's payroll waiting to be shown the door.
Fire all of them and hire somebody else !
