How can one lose messaging over a moral panic/public scare?
We all know they'll pass it at the last minute for the how ever many times they had this public scare.
Stupid big media never mentioned appropriation bills decide where to spend the taxes not debt ceiling bills. Appropriations bills spend the money. Debt ceiling bills increase the debt. The two are completely different! Hey big media, listen to my free speech, it is your job to teach the difference, Not mine. Oh yea big media, why would kevin be pushing for inevitable 14 admendment. ? So the republicans can do it next! Then the repubzs will say the dems did it first. Political strategy is too easy to see.
What does the 14th Amendment say about the validity of public debt?
Section 4 of the 14th Amendment provides that “The validity of the public debt, authorized by law … shall not be questioned.” Legal scholars and historians agree that the clause was designed to ensure that the federal government would not repudiate its debts, as some former Confederate states had done.
Democrats communication is totally ineffective. They have strong numbers and are on the right side and logical. Yet they still loose. Reps are so weak, wrong, dirty and confused and they still win the communication war. We need an Obama back or give Jeffreys, Moskowitz, Goldman, Buttegieg etc more exposure and move Biden back into his basement.
McCarthy is being played like a banjo by Biden. He has , and will use , the 14th. McCarthy knows his budget bill will never pass and will be vetoed. His priority is to retain the speakership. Anyone that succeeds McCarthy as speaker will be at least as bad as he is. McCarthy will cave after Biden assures him that a democrat will replace any maga vote he loses by his acquiescence.
Biden does not want the US dollar to be the base currency. Biden wants BRICS to control the oil industry. A weak and bankrupt America is easy to defeat. Goodbye America.

Bidens' priority is for the economy to be the best it can be. Not how many clicks he can get. Biden needs only to give McCarthy a way to keep his power. McCarthy will bow down if he can keep his job as leader
We may have to default if the Treasury extraordinary measures run out in early June before the next tranche of tax revenue is collected. In my view, that blame falls on congress having authority for appropriations. Biden is responsible for upholding the law, to include our lawful debt and legislation, so he may be forced to pay all of our obligations, regardless, or risk breaking the law. He would be doing the Republicans a favor while saving himself and the economy.
Biden is certainly not gonna win the blame game in the court of public opinion, but the Republicans will likely lose on the legal merit. If the current debt ceiling is in play when the next tranche of tax revenue arrives, it is insufficient to pay all of our lawful obligations. So, Biden will be forced to pay our outstanding debt per the 14th amendment and must choose which lawful legislation to cut without the unconstitutional line item veto and break the law, again.
It really boils down to a choice between abiding by McCarthy's bill, which has not passed into law, and all other obligations that are lawful. I think we all agree our debt needs to come down, and it can be argued during the budget negotiations and appropriations if the Republicans rally a majority. That's fine. But forcing Biden to break existing law to push their terms tied to the debt ceiling and the economy is a form of hostage taking.
