Well first of all I'm speaking for myself, I don't feel that way about all parents, some parents have been going up to the school for months about they kid, and the school wasn't doing nothing ,so I feel like if a child snap out ?the school should go down to, in this case this boy's parents, they was to complete idiot, and the mother was a a**** worse than the father ,and they deserve all the years they finna get

Parents are legally responsible for everything thing their minor children do. After they turn 18, theyโre morally responsible forever, but canโt usually be prosecuted for their kidsโ crimes, unfortunately. Morals and ethics are learned very young, from our parents.

They didn't take him to counseling… wow. I wouldn't be surprised if these were the parents were the type that doesn't "believe" in counseling. They didn't even seem to care that he was drawing the very thing he was about to do. This is negligence of the highest order.

I think the school should be charged, they sent him back to class with a gun in his backpack. If they charge the parents why is he being charged as an adult? Adults are responsible for their own choices

I don't think the school officials should be charged clearly they were dealing with parents they didn't want to be parents and take responsibility for their kid. could they handled differently yes. But the parent should be the ones held accountable.

At last parents are being made accountable for having firearms in their home un-locked and with live ammunition. That's a recipe for disaster with children around.
My son has adhd and autism and he started a new school. He is 9yrs old. Everyday he came home crying. My son was talking about life would be better without him because everyone at school says they hate him. They was punching him and calling him names everyday. I reached out to the school many times and even the teachers was saying hurtful things to my son. The school did absolutely nothing. I pulled my son out of that school but I told his father this is probably why kids snap and go to school wanting to harm people. Its not right. An most importantly it could be prevented. I'm not saying this is the case in this particular situation. But I feel like the media doesn't tell you the motive because like I said there was more than likely signs at home and in the school. Its terribly awful no doubt about it. No child deserves to die. All I can say is parents watch for the signs and teach your children that bullying is wrong.
