  1. There should be law against slum lords

  2. Lisa Brooks was found "unscathed " after nearly 24 hours! Incredible. Hopefully everyone can get their belongings and keepsakes before the building is demo'd.

  3. That mayor sounds like a caricature of city hall corruption. State and feds need to intervene urgently before he destroys and buries the evidence. Not to mention survivors still trapped in there.

  4. Is this a Republican state? No regulations there

  5. Slumlords. Typically aided and abetted by corrupt city officials.

  6. Are you sure it collapsed and not taken down by a direct energy weapons system from Russia? 🤓

  7. This building collapse happened the day before Memorial Day and "Davenport" contains an anagram of "veteran." I wonder how long it took SAC-SOG to plant the demolition charges?

  8. Buildings didn't use to collapse when the Americans built them

  9. The smog guy in the suit should disappear and never be seen again. Make it happen

  10. Pray for Davenport. God have mercy.

  11. This mayor, his responses and demeanor are all sketchy.

  12. Interesting. The Davenport was a major HOTEL in the day and was basically located near train stations. Probably should have been razed years ago. It's touted as a wedding venue. I hope all the people who live there are wholly compensated by the owner for their loss of property. It's too unsafe for anyone to return for their belongings and is ordered to be demolished. Good grief.

  13. Shame on the officials who didn't hold the owner accountable, may they be found liable and sued.

  14. The USA is a third-world country.

  15. Wow this mayor looks so evil, he looks like Mr Burns. And he/they keep saying the top priority is “the building”… What about the living, breathing people and pets still inside?? This level of corruption/evil makes me sick. And the cowards going along with it as if they don’t have a choice. STAND FOR SOMETHING.

  16. Send in the dogs!! People can survive for days.
    Don't give up so soon!

  17. Slumlords. They are everywhere. They care about money not humans

  18. I wonder if a hedge fund is behind the ownership of this building.

  19. Hmmmm someone has been ignoring codes

  20. BLESSINGS ♥️♥️♥️
    Praying 🙏🏽 for everyone ♥️♥️♥️👩🏽‍🦳

  21. It is wrong to demolish this building until the cause of the collapse has been determined.

  22. I wonder if Iowa has non-existent building requirements like Texas does? A stiff wind knocks things down here.

  23. They're in a hurry to demolish the building, but they're not in a hurry to rescue the remaining bodies.

  24. And what no news station is reporting: everyone who lives there just lost all their belongings. Verbage they ain't regime anything out of the prior to demolition.

  25. I lived across the street 2 years ago, but same landlords (used to actually go into that building for the gym access that came with the lease). Did you know that one of the Iowa congressmen used to have an office in that same building complex? I remember seeing the sign every time I walked by (Congressman Dave Loebsack, 2nd District of Iowa)

  26. This is the future of America. Collapsing bridges, buildings falling down, roads falling apart

  27. 🙏🏻 up 4 all those souls involved….

  28. That mayor has the shadiest look on his face 🤬

  29. They going to tear it down in the morning yet their is a family with a missing relative. Bet if it was their family member they would not tear that building down…
So quick and complaints for some time. Now it fall apart and now they going to completely take it down, Milwaukee Wisconsin 3:20

  30. Rescue is over in less than 24 hours!!! Residents are still unaccounted for and they somehow have to demolish the building that poses no threat to anybody. They search and rescue for days and weeks when earthquakes partially destroy buildings. They are really trying to hide something.

  31. They are planning to demolish the building with some humans still unaccounted for and living pets visible in the windows!

  32. This wouldn't had happened if it was governed by a Democrat. Take California for an example. They're buildings had gone through Earthquake retrofit and everyone must comply.

  33. Tragic. Disgusting that the building wasn't kept safe for residents. The owners have blood on their hands.

  34. Wow I hope who ever was in that building is alright 🙏 🙏 🙏

  35. How do these slum lords get the permits needed to house 84 units of human beings. What accountability does the city bare ????

  36. 84 families are losing everything . Praying for the missing lady.

  37. It's not the World Trade Center and they should return that woman's body. Why hold it? 💀

  38. One of the dorms I lived in was condemned. If the floors are wildly uneven or you see big cracks in the concrete then watch out. Call for a building inspector.

  39. Are they going to be able to find a cause if they demolish it ASAP?
County records say it's solid brick but the crack on the left doesn't look like brick work.

  40. Let me guess! The SlumLord is a Greedy Old Person = GOP! What did the Owner do with all that Stimulus money and Tax Cuts!?? Probably spent it Remodeling their Private Residence! Nothing to see here folks!

  41. Watch the lawsuits pile up just as was the case from Surfside Florida.
