Pelosi's Taiwan trip is not needless provocation as some people claimed if you understand that COVID / Monkeypox didn't come out of nowhere. COVID-19 was basically version 2.0 of SARS outbreak which terrorized Taiwanese society and created a political crisis for Taiwanese government in 2003. Abe's assassination, downing of Black Hawk helicopter carrying Taiwan's highest military commander in 2020 (few days before Taiwan's presidential election, and Trump's swift response in taking down Solemani within 24 hours of this incident), Suez canal container ship blockage (Japanese owned Taiwanese ship), train derailment in Taiwan killing 49 people and injuring several hundred (and China's push to build an underground sea tunnel / railroad to Taiwan), Russia and China's efforts toward de dollarization, supply chain disruption, U.S. food and energy plants hacked /set on fire / blown up, land acquisition by the Chinese near U.S. military bases were no accidents either. People need to read the news with a discerning eye. World War III started toward end of 2019, beginning of 2020. Wake up people!

This is a good time to point out that China's claim that Taiwan has always been part of China is an obvious lie. Not as obvious as saying Hong Kong was not a British colony for 150 years, but Taiwan was Japanese for 50 years before its last 70+ years of self-rule. Before some defunct form of China controlled Taiwan, the Dutch and Spanish also claimed it. It is a total lie that Taiwan has always been part of China. Taiwan's Japanese status only changed because Japan was defeated in WWII, but not by China. The USA defeated Japan, giving it the right to decide what would happen to Japanese territory, including Taiwan. The USA did not give Taiwan to the communists. "Reunification" for most Taiwanese would be with Japan, not China.
