As a Pennsylvania manhunt for an escaped killer went into its seventh day, an investigation has found he followed a strategy used by an inmate who bolted from the same county facility in May, officials said.
Fugitive Danelo Cavalcante absconded from the Chester County Prison on Aug. 31 by scaling a wall to gain access to the roof and pushing through razor before jumping down to a less secure area to make his getaway, Howard Holland, the acting warden of the Chester County Prison said at news conference.
The 34-year-old Cavalcante, who was at the facility awaiting a transfer to the state prison after being convicted of murder in the fatal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, followed the same method of escape and route used by an inmate at the Chester County Prison, Holland said.

The comments act like he was just gone once he got wherever "up" went. The entire perimeter of the prison a murderer is in wasn't barricaded? Razor wire? Guards? Constant cameras? I worked in a WORK RELEASE where they could just walk right off site, but we'd have seen it. Where was everyone??? And every other security/containment method?!? If it's that easy out, in prison clothes, it's that easy in too. Drugs, anyone? Catch!
Warden: Note to self. Only allow really short prisoners in the areas with walls and fences.
