Our HOA is blocking investors and others buying homes and renting them out. My neighbor is operating an air bnb, but the HOA is about to shut that down. I’m good with that because it just hurts my property values.

Somebody needs to put the brakes on these asshats buying up all of these homes to rent out. It's forcing the average Joe out of the market to own a home. It's time to put limits on the number of rental units in a given area. I know some HOAs are already doing it.
People need to get a remote job permanently and moved away from the big cities where house affordability is so bad. Have a bunch of friends they all work remotely, and they are all moving away from South Florida to central Florida and built brand new houses at a fraction of the cost. Just move away from big cities into small towns and build a brand new house, and work remotely.

What's not being discussed is how large companies like BlackRock are contributing to the problem by continuing to buy homes (keeping demand and prices high) then renting them out at outrageous rates.
