I grew up in Brooklyn. I left a while ago. I saw enough violence early in life to leave, And not look back. I now live in an open carry state. I am no threat to anyone, And I try to be of help to those in need. That being said, My eyes are wide open, And I am armed at all times. It is an absolute necessity in the world we currently live in. I pray that I am never required to protect myself, Or others, In that manner, But I absolutely will do just that. God bless us all, And keep us safe.

The girlfriend stopped walking toward the murderer when he started knocking things down. Why didn't Ryan?? What was he doing?? Why did he shove the murderer repeatedly?? This can be an example of how Duty To Retreat laws can get victims killed. He was killed while retreating and tripped and fell. If he was allowed to defend himself, he could have shot him after he drew his knife and advanced on him.
