After a massive search of the area police announced that the person of interest in the Highland Park parade shooting has been taken into custody. 22-year-old Robert E. Crimo III was spotted in a 2010 silver Honda Fit, matching the description police had asked the public to be on the lookout for. No charges have yet been filed. NBC’s Pete Williams reports.

Count the costs of disability payments to provide lifetime care for the "wounded". Prosecute those who deal in the merchandise of death and disfigurement. Show us the photos of young people with half their jaw blown off, eating through a feeding tube.

Everyone always asks “what is wrong…” even if the answer was given, you would go into denial. Sides are chosen and lines are drawn in the sand, because ignorance is bliss and it’s easier to point the finger. As always our societies reactive approach will be to curb the symptoms.
