Tammy Harrington and her daughter Savanna Derby were forced to turn over their dogs when they couldn’t afford it anymore. Across the country, animal activists are working to ban the practice.

A new level of scam.
Meanwhile so many strays and in shelters are hungry, sad, sick, depressed, or on dead row… People are unbelievable 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Extremely stupid topic coming from our national media. Healthcare, farming, reforestation, illegal migrants are a few important issues. All 50 states have record numbers of businesses closing and homelessness. Families can't afford to pay for basic things.
This is the worst kind of extortion. And, the damage done to the dogs is horrible. Dogs have all the emotions of humans, they suffer the same sort of stress that we do. I would never buy a dog at a pet store, they keep the puppymills in business. Either go to a reputable breeder, or, adopt from a shelter. Most breeders have two price tiers for their dogs. The exceptional ones may becom show dogs and are not nuetred. But, not all dogs are show quality, many just do not like the whole show business, these dogs are just as healthy, and, make excellent companinon dogs, and, the breeders really want them to go to good homes. Take the time to explore the options, and, never got to a so called, "pet" store.

Should pet leasing even be legal. There's way too many dogs and cats that really need a good home. I get certain breeds can be very expensive but who would really be interested in making payments for a lovely pet. What's next are we going to finance a child.

Payday loans, leasing of animals, and credit cards avg 17.2%, all when money costs less than 1% for the financial industry while we the citizens get ripped off. Something most other first-world nations do not allow. They realize these are not good for their citizens, yet the power of "citizens united" gives these rip off industries a legal means to buy the votes of politicians to screw you and me.
Hard to find sympathy for people who LEASE designer dogs at puppy mills. I understand that you love a certain breed but if you can't afford to own an animal, you shouldn't take care of an animal.
Go to a shelter, maybe you dont get a shih tzu but you'll save a lot of money and literally save a dog's life.
