Plane disappears into dense fog during takeoff from Rochester airport



This video shows a plane seeming to disappear after taking off from Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport in New York. The fog is expected to remain through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

  1. This is why having good air traffic controllers is critical….pilots have to trust there aren't going to be 2 planes in the same space.

  2. planes can fly with out even light it’s on there little control gagues and what not idk what it’s called iv never flown but i have been in a passenger seat of a cesnea and you can for sure land and fly with out sight
