Polarized Reactions In Mississippi After Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade stems from a Mississippi law that banned abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. NBC News’ Blayne Alexander reports from Jackson, Miss., on reactions from the state after Dobbs v. Jackson brought on the landmark decision.

  1. Remember, ladies, the abortion pill can be bought over the counter in Mexico. Get your passports now.

  2. Do you know you can get rid of any kind of disease with natural root and herbs,I was able to cure my HIV completely by the help of Dr Osaba on YouTube,he is a traditional man he has cure for all kinds of chronic diseases..

  3. This is my state. I am terrified. I do not agree with this coming from Supreme Court. How can a majority of men decide on overturning something 50 years later…about womens health rights and right to choose. This is not good. Abortions have always and will continue to be done. And more women: neighbors, family, friends..people you know, will suffer from this draconian and egregious ban. I am heartbroken and have not felt any sense of normalcy since hearing about this. My mother had more rights than I currently do, right now, in 2022. We are devolving.

  4. Mississippi is such a backwards state. That’s probably why it’s last in almost everything good and first in almost everything bad.

  5. Amen for Trump and his elected!

  6. So does crack cocaine. Kills babies dead

  7. Roe vs wade , vodka kills your unborn child, dead

  8. Shoutout to all the ‘would-have-been’ fathers that didn’t get a say. Love y’all

  9. If women wanna call this a “loss” for women ok, but I consider this a WIN for FAMILY

  10. I left Mississippi after I graduated high school. So glad I had it in me to leave.

  11. I absolutely loathe the state of Mississippi with everything in me. For the longest, this egregious and miserable state has led oppression in this nation. They continuously get away with evil crimes against humanity (slavery, segregation, homophobic laws, and now they are cause to ending Roe).
I grew up in this heartless, fake Christian (all them run around and lie that they are Christians and they are not), hateful, racist, homophobic, and backwards state. I escaped this miserable state in the year of 2005 to escape the daily racism and homophobia in it. My family lives there and they will not ever leave. They have been oppressed and subjugated as almost all blacks and lgbtq in that abhorrent state. I refused to visit Mississippi. I have not been since 2016 and I do not have any intentions to visit again unless there is a life and death emergency situation. Otherwise, I will NOT give my money, time, energy, and self to this horrible state. Since December 10, 1817, one of America's greatest mistakes has been the statehood of Mississippi. The Constitution needs to be change so the federal government can have more control. Let's overturn the 10th amendment. The federal government needs to micromanage states such as Mississippi, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. The Republican Party can no longer rule any states. This party does not deserve a voice because they are a party of oppression, marginalization, and subjugation. It is time for the federal government to take over these states and abolish these hateful Republican laws. We need to end the 1st amendment (religion part of it), 2nd amendment, and 10th amendment. Overturn those amendments now.

  12. Notwithstanding today's decision, an interesting question to ask is why the Democrats don't want to legislate abortion.

  13. Religion must be kept out of politics. Medical decisions like this should be left to individuals to decide.

  14. How many women protesting in the streets of America against the Supreme Court decision voted Trump ? Now they're are crying babies it's pitiful !

  15. Biden needs to depower the Supreme Court!

  16. America is all about diversity and choices. Please leave the medical decision to the people and their doctors, not the supreme court justice, politicians or some religious groups.

  17. Annnnnnnnnd who cares

  18. it wasn't Mississippi ,it was Trump who got the supreme justices in as he had promised

  19. A very solid majority in this country think abortion should be legal. Smart move before midterms, repubs!

  20. Trump's sequels made all difference hahaha

  21. Vibrators are better than men

  22. Vibrators don't get you pregnant

  23. Hitachi vibrators are the best

  24. Now we will see how worthless men really are

  25. Hence, the end-game of Trump's three justices pledging that Roe v. Wade was "settled law" was that their words were just like Trump's– another lie. Note to America: Remember how Trump promised to keep "big government" off your back? Well, this lie is just his way of telling you, once again, how dishonest he is. But if you want that dishonesty to continue, and risk losing even more rights, then keep voting in Republicans. After all, they are all in "leadership" posts, yet they were very real co-conspirators in his coup attempt to steal the election, denying the will of the majority of Americans. Some might call this treason. I would.

  26. What did she does claim. Most of the people in America believe in the right to abortion, what is she smoking. MBC still think that they can spew whatever they want us to think we think and it will stick. NO no no no, Most of America think abortion is a sin and wrong. Thats the truth.
