You have to fill out a 4473 form if purchasing a firearm through a FFL and the FFL contacts the federal government phone line through the NICS system. Disqualifiers are a convicted felony or convicted of domestic violence and marijuana. Because of their rap sheet they probably had to buy the firearm from an individual and possibly it's a stolen firearm

Well when it comes out that the cops shot the little boy because that is highly highly probable the way cops shoot, its gonna be a different story. I have been seeing alot of damage control and thats what this story sounds like. And as for the " divine intervention ", more damage control. A person made it in to shoot and a child got hurt and might die. Period. For who god is, this is not his work the way people think of it.
