He was arrested in Iowa in 1998 for Possession of Firearm by Felon (a felony) as well as assault, but as is all too common in Iowa the charges were dismissed.
it's great but also a bit weird since we're naming someone who wasn't technically convicted. i don't doubt he did this, and he was a bad, bad person. but this sort of post mortem justice isn't entirely un-problematic.
