Why are corporations that make guns barred by law from being held responsible in federal or state court for the millions of guns they create and sell on the open market to law abiding citizens, who find a million and one ways to resell, gift or illegally trade those guns to anyone-(criminals included).
Do we really think poor gang bangers in every major city has the means to manufacture and supply the enormous pipeline of guns that flow all across this country?
The gun insanity in this country is similar to the drug manufacturers insanity that has caused tens of thousands of people to overdose and die. It all can be stopped but it's just too much money being made by the greedy corporations who make these deadly products and payoff our self serving, spineless politicians.
The cops always show up after many have been shot or killed with an over the top response that does zero to prevent or end this year after year cycle of societal trauma.
If corporations could be sued for the incalculable damage that their products cause, if politicians who represent jurisdictions that have no common sense restrictions on guns can also be sued, and if citizens who live in these places are required to have liability insurance for each gun owned beyond 2, as well as have to follow simple paper trail guidelines to report a stolen, sold, gifted gun that is registered to them then this would go a long way in slowing or possibly ending this craziness. So many have died or been shot and wounded in all manner of public and private settings. From children to the very old. Yet nothing changes. The corporations that manufacture these guns continue to get rich while paying our politicians to ensure that no new restrictions will be enacted and their exemption from any form of accountability will remain cemented in law.
