  4. Hint to catching loose livestock: They usually will pay attention to feed. If you shake a bucket with a good scoop of grain, or feed, or Cheerios or something that they can hear, that will usually bring them to you. Shake the feed and make sure that the animal can hear that you have something to eat. Chasing them only runs them off. Head them off at the pass with a big Tupperware bowl of dry corn, or some kind of feed. Keep it on hand for these situations. Also, you can draw them in your direction if you put out a bale of hay. Not straw, but hay. They are frightened and feed distracts them long enough to capture them in most cases. Cute video, though.
