Two preschool teachers have been arrested in Roswell, Georgia, for alleged child cruelty that was captured on a classroom livestream. They have been charged with first-degree child cruelty according to Roswell Police. WXIA’s Jon Shirek reports.

When I was in school we got whacked with a ruler for talking in class, the boys got lashes from the principal for any kind of misbehavior, and then we still got good beatings from our parents at home..
It taught us discipline and respect… Something todays youngsters have no clue about whatsoever…
Todays kids are way too soft..
Mothers of today need to stop idolizing their children like some kind of child fetish..
What ever happened to survival of the fittest..

It doesn't surprise me at all. Lots of people in childcare & teaching positions abuse children. There should always be cameras recording all classrooms. Imagine these women do this knowing they are being recorded. What did they do in areas that don't have cameras, like the bathroom? Young kids are an unreliable witness. They are unable to tell their parents because they don't know what it being done to them is wrong & abusive.
As a former educator, there are two fundamental rules that "All" teachers must respect.
1) Always be prepared to teach
2) Never touch a student

Who doing background checks I think every daycare should have undercover cameras 4 the protection of the kids…. thats a parent worse nightmare : ( shame shame on them !!!

Welcome to child care in America. These "teachers" are paid poverty wages. Most make around $12-$14 per hour, less than most burger flippers these days. They must also have certifications, and state regulatory systems prefer workers with degrees.
Qualified workers are next to impossible to come by since you can work at a gas station or work fast food and make more money. Early education programs at schools are failing because no one wants to go into a field that guarantees poverty. States heavily regulate daycare centers, even more so than most public schools, driving up costs but providing no financial support. Centers face both heavy regulatory burdens and private market pressures. Prices would have to increase significantly to pay these people a fair wage. That is something many parents simply cannot afford. The entire industry is about to collapse, which will remove millions of parents from the labor pool.
Would you let the pot-smoking burger flipper at Mcdonald's watch your kids daily? Would you be surprised if he acted like these people did? Right now that burger flipper has a better career outlook than most daycare "teachers". You get what you pay for…. people have know that since humans started trading rocks.

I hope these bullyies get prison time. Our precious children feeling so scared and helpless, and in pain. I can't imagine the emotional harm.

If someone stepped on my hand, I would be very quick to try to move it, but the kid's hand didn't jerk, didn't twist, didn't appear to do anything but stay right where it was. Sometimes things are very different than they appear, no?

The hand and knee thing was a bit much. But to call this abuse like it's damaging violence is way overstating. These kids won't remember this and won't be traumatized. It was over measured discipline acting on frustration. Getting prison time or other calls for punishments that don't fit the crime are unwarranted. The sensitivity in the world today is off the charts. We can't be so emotional. Some parents on here calling for certain punishments have 100% done worse than this.

Should not only have strict gun laws but also should have a even more strict hiring process when it comes to teachers. After all they're responsible for educating our kids & to treat innocent kids like that? These people are scums & that's just an understatement…

This is why we shouldn't arm teachers with guns expecting them to protect the children. To many can't be trusted.
I would never leave my child with a stranger and that's exactly what preschools are. dropping them all strangers that's why I'm a stay at home mom.
