For somebody who served in the military, the U.S. military is not stronger because of diversity! My first sergeant used to call it the threeāDsā, where the same person would show on the three rosters on diversity in the unit; the more you have of these individuals, the less unqualified individuals the unit would have and more functional it would be!
A qualified pool of applicants should NEVER include an immutable, unchangeable, from-birth characteristic (phenotype, bio-geographic ancestry, or "race") as one of those qualifications. One's ancestry has ZERO to do with one's intellect. Kudos to the Supreme Court. Biden's speech is all about cognition control, and is the essence of racism.
As a president, you need to comply with the supreme court's decision, instead of encouraing disrespect of the court,'s decision.

Iām Asian and I hated affirmative action. Itās further dividing all races – not helping. Biden needs to shut up and stop dividing their country. The court made the right ruling. Racism and discrimination is on life support. Let it die already. Geez.
It is obvious by the comments here that a vast majority of Americans have zero clue what Affirmative Action was or how it was used. Affirmative Action was only used if two or more applicants who were EQUALLY QUALIFIED then race would be considered. The starting point is EQUALLY QUALIFIED. Plus, if an institution chose a white person over a person of color for a position they were BOTH EQUALLY QUALIFIED FOR then the institution had to be able to explain why. That's it. This ruling is disgusting. The truth is many highly qualified people of color will not get a position because of our biases against "exotic sounding names". Just sad.

That is the way that it ought to be. Race, gender, ethnicity (including indigenous), age, sexuality and sectarian affinities should be entirely ignored so that all persons are seen as equals as persons within the Constitutionally compliant process. Then once the selection is made on the basis of aptitude and talent, among the pool of equals as persons, those in need of economic assistance ought to be provided it regardless of what affinity group they are part of. That is the only way forward. That has to become the fundamental principle. Reverse discrimination is not the answer and mostly reverse discrimination is all that has been effected. Reverse discrimination must end and it must be replaced by equals as persons.
Time time to grab the books/ computers and grow up with the determination to make a somebody out of yourself… Not a handout basket receiver for life !!!
Affirmative action action, does not just pertain to black people. The biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action have actually been women, particularly white women. Black women have benefited under affirmative action racially by being double minorities, thus creating a paradox where they make up 65% of college admissions and black graduates. Straight Men of all racial backgrounds are relegated to second class citizens, only over represented in the tough blue collar fields where diversity seems to not apply since the disposable ones, straight men, make better slaves than college students. I for one, as a straight black man, completely support the eraser of this biased, racist, misandryst, and sexist practice. Either you compete on our merit alone, or dont compete at allšš¾Im glad SCOTUS ruled against it!!!
