22 million Americans who already applied for student debt relief are in limbo after an appeals court temporarily froze President Biden’s signature program. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit granted a stay preventing the government from moving forward with the debt cancellation it had said could start as early as next week. The appeal filed by six Republican-led states after a district court judge dismissed their case on Thursday for lack of standing. The White House insists it’s full speed ahead, urging borrowers to keep applying at studentaid.gov while the court battles continue.

Here’s a concept, place regulations on student loans like they did for auto loans where they cap the rate. Years ago if a finance manager could hold 9 points in rate they would and today the max is 3 so even if you qualify for 2% they can sell the loan to you at 5% and if we really want to help Americans let’s look at home loans.
Taking a typical home loan of 650k to term meaning all payments paid it will cost you 1.2 million for that home.
The only people making money are the banks. They are robbing everyone blind then loaning your money to others and getting uncapped rate of return while most people get less than 1% return on savings that is being loaned out to other people.
