Think back at the beginning of pandemic when china was exporting free vaccine around the world – from south East Asia to Africa and beyond. Those countries quietly moved to western m-RNA vaccines because that’s what worked.
Think how embarrassing it would be for China to do the same, so instead they are trying to create their own. until then lockdown is the only way they can control this hideous virus.
This competitive and belligerent mentality of China has to go. It needs to work with the west, and the rest of the world. World needs China. It has so much to contribute.
China allowed millions of people to travel from their country knowing the spread of Covid worldwide was possible. A zero Covid policy is impossible. However is Covid still spreading in China?

Can we stop characterizing these as zero COVID protests? Much of this is against the entirety of the CCP regime. This is not a democracy, protesters don't make demands and have nonviolent influence on administration. In the US public sentiment does drive or at least can drive policy decisions directly, cuz we elect our leaders. In a total one party system It doesn't matter what the people think, It's only violence or the threat of violence that can ever overthrow the CCP. It sounds harsh but if you want this regime to end ever, you are taking on board more than a peaceful revolution. It's up to the Chinese people

Those young people actually took the risk no one here will ever experience, because China recently is like North Korean. It is possible they will lose their freedom forever.
