There is no common ground. The left are formidable because they never compromise and never fail at their agenda. You only have to look at the youth to see who is winning. . Salvador Rolando Ramos was a product of the left.
There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state.
1) Healthcare — Control healthcare and you control the people
2) Poverty — Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt — Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control — Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare — Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
6) Education — Take control of what people read and listen to — take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion — Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.
8) Class Warfare — Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
I wouldn't live in that bloody country for anything. You aren't safe anywhere and things are only getting worse. Pretty soon the US will be known as El Salvador north!

No you cannot take, ban, or create any gun laws at a whim. This will work just about as well as the crime bills from the early 90s that helped continue mass incarceration, or making weed illegal that also locked up tons.
We can be better and for sure several points of failure here. These kinds of things will continue to happen as part of the expense of having our free society. I personally feel the US must always protect right to bear arms, but Americans are going to have to surrender a lot of freedoms in the area of privacy if we want to improve here.
IMO, very soon (if not already), it becomes apparent the US Gov, Law makers and Law Enforcement need a massive technology update and we should really be evaluating if our old processes that were built for the day when representatives had to ride horseback for a month to vote in Washington is still the best way. Two major areas of opportunity… The Tech that can monitor and alert suspicious activity is almost affordable and worth every penny to implement. The tech that allows a representative form of REAL-TIME government (think Twitter) without all the bi-partisan, house, senate and congress BS is also something we should be pushing for. Understanding it will take a revolution. Add to that the enormous potential of AIs that can help us stop fraud, abuse and crime .. And the understanding and acceptance that paper money is the loophole for dirty, illegal and tax evading activity. What is stopping us?? Well Greed and Special interest groups mostly – sound familiar?? But technically, better blockchain for security, identity, authorization and oversight. Vote for forward thinking minded people and trust in our democracy.
If anyone thinks law abiding gun owners and citizens are going to give up their firearms it is not going to happen.

Here it comes folks. The first round of taking your guns away. First they raise the age you can buy a gun. Next step eliminate what kind of gun you can buy.
Then, eliminate all sidearms. All weapons must be registered with multi government agencies. Do not lock the guns up, lock these mental cases up that use them. This is all being orchestrated by those who advocate for a one world government.

A big argument they use to try and ban certain guns is "the constitution wasn't specific in what guns you could have. Thats wrong and there is something in the constitution that destroys that if you look closely. "A well regulated militia". A militia is supposed to be able to go up against a military by defenition, therefore will need to have everything that they have. That is a checkmate that I hope is used more but don't see used.
