It could be a sign Russia is losing the war. Internal conflict and the only way Putin can fix it is to turn Russia into a military state, indulge in socialism instead of free trade and constantly live in war. I think what we're seeing is a crack in that philosophy. War sucks.

Additional Points: The coup outed anyone against Putin, political and military leaders showed support for Putin, Russia never went black to cut off social media or internet, flights didn't change, people were extremely calm, and it drew attention enough where Russia could sneak in foreign weapons during the chaos. Too much theater for a real coup and don't ever underestimate an opponent. Talk of weakness and stupidity towards Russians is our own arrogance. These are chess players while we are playing checkers.

The premise that the mutiny was great for Russia, not Ukraine, is refuted by the significant land Ukraine was able to take back during it. This whole video is a desperate attempt to say how great it is for Putin that 25-30K mutinous troops marched toward his capital (while Putin fled), got their demands met and then left with no consequences, but it defies all common sense.
The Wagner group is lucky that Putin let them live.
