President Putin or the Russian Federation have no need to use such force. This was obtained by diplomatic strategy. You're welcome everybody.
In 1994, the West pressured Ukraine to destroy their Nuclear weapons, and to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. This was supposed to guarantee peace, but resulted in the opposite, making Ukraine vulnerable to a neighbouring Nuclear power who could attack them, but not vice versa.

The fact that he's been threatening nukes this whole time and is now saying he's not going to use them makes me think that not only is he going to use them, he's gonna do it soon, when we're not paying attention. And I'm not entirely confident that our people will be paying attention in time to do anything.
