I have to say that I do not understand this whole system of having midterm election in the middle of the term of an elected president. 4 years for a democracy to really make significant changes to a dysfunctional system is already short as it is and we can agree that the greatest flow of the system of democracy is its slowness. I hope the American people who voted for Biden in 2020 have a long breath and keep him strong for the whole of his term at least. But then again it is highly unlikely as all is so so much about money in the US IMO and while all politicians want to be elected per my perception most republicans are in it for themselves as opposed to serving anybody.

Republicans want blood. While Dems have their issues with Repubs, in the eyes of Republicans they elected Donald Trump and his entered presidency was deeply tainted with negative left wing news and the Trump/RUssia collusion legal action which, in reality DID turn out to be a lie.
