Those who attended the Raleigh Christmas parade were visibly shaken after a pick-up truck lost control and hit a girl walking in the parade who later died. The driver has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, careless and reckless, improper equipment and unsafe movement. WRAL’s Amanda Lamb reports.

It's the middle of November and they're having a Christmas parade….
So sad, Condolences to the family. But for anyone who doesn't know, if your brakes fail, try using your e-brake/hand brake. Pump it (pull, let go, pull, let go) to slow your car down and to not wear all of your brakes down, but that should help your car to slow down without losing all of your brake pad so when your car slows down enough you still have brakes to park it. They should have a safety protocols where each car have like a plastic wheel choke or have a 2×4 so ppl can throw it in front of the car tires if it can't stop. But please remember to get a tune-up before you have to go on a road trip or have an event to drive for like a parade just as a precaution. Stay safe out there!

Truly a tragic accident. Condolences to the family of that precious angel. Prayers for the driver as well. This was above his experience and he obviously panicked. He will relive that moment more than most can imagine. Such a tragedy
