Researchers say women are drinking more because they’re coping with stress and alcohol use is normalized. The rate of alcohol-related deaths among women is increasing and is up nearly 15 percent. NBC News’ Kate Snow explains more.

I blame the government for not vigorously educating the public on the serious health risks of smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. Alcohol and cigarettes should be obliterated.

The insecurity of safe housing, clean water, healthy food, quality education, and full health care, while living out of harmony with the Earth and with each other is at the root of human trauma which leads to addictions. It's also a reason why the world is on fire and we have viral outbreaks. I'm definitely NOT suggesting communism, but I am suggesting we create a secondary safety net for children and adults consisting of apps to ENSURE safe housing, clean water, healthy food, quality education, and full health care, an online educational and empowering hyper democratic system of government to identify problems and vote on the most logical and ethical solutions, and a community builder simulator to plan future development to be in harmony with the Earth and with each other. So most people could earn a living wage working towards an ensured basic standard of living for everyone, while achieving self actualization in the process.
