  1. I don't think Babe Ruth was black/mixed race. In spite of his facial features, both of his parents identified as white. But this isn't why I don't think he was black. His unabashed acceptance of black people, socializing with them off the field, dating black women, etc, is contrary to mixed race people of that time. He was called racial slurs, which he hated, but if he were mixed, he would have shunned the black community to avoid being considered one of them. It would be great, if he was. It would have been better, if he had become a team manager and integrated baseball much sooner. But I just don't think it is the case.
