The Great Plains are being slammed with snow as Denver sees its biggest January snowstorm in 30 years with at least eight inches already fallen. NBC News Meteorologist Bill Karins is on the ground in Colorado with the latest.

While stationed at Lowry AFB in 1973 we got 24 inches in two hours. I did not seem to have much effect as city busses ran on schedule the next day! Today it would bring out FEMA… todays Poeple have no grit!

Extremes in weather, not just warming like out west. If you ask me climate change/global warming is caused by burning oil. Chevron, Exxon, Shell Oil are responsible. With trillions invested worldwide in the production and consumption of crude oil products.

Correction: No, not all that moisture ends up in the Colorado River. Only the snowfall on the western side of the Continental Divide will end up in the Colorado River. The rivers on the eastern side of Colorado will eventually flow to the Mississippi or Rio Grande.
Living in Denver currently. What they don’t tell you is that although the conditions are extremely hazardous, the city of Denver does not treat the roads…and businesses do not shut down. The transplants from Cali, Texas and Florida are the ones who cause most of the accidents and everyone is always in a rush…so, what would be a standstill for the east coast or other states such as Iowa or Utah is just another dry and perfect day in Denver Colorado….And the roads are not treated or properly plowed not because they can’t or are poor but because they don’t want to; their philosophy is “let the sun melt it”. 🫠. Hoping to leave soon….
