Democrats and Republicans are rallying to stop the execution of Melissa Lucio, a Texas mother of 14 convicted of capital murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter 15 years ago. Police accused Lucio of beating her daughter to death while her attorneys say the toddler fell down a flight of stairs, took a nap and never woke up.

The reason that I know that she’s innocent is because the autopsy medical report actually states that the injuries on the baby were from a fall . No parents would ever through their babies down the stairs . Accidents happens all the time for partners being irresponsible. I just don’t know how an innocent women survives death row even after the lost of her baby . Her name should of been Mercy . She’s a though example of god mercy . God bless u
Someone has to pay with their life for the child dying. It's either her or one of her other kids.
She is by no means a good mom but if you were going to put someone to death you better be darn sure the punishment fit the crime.
I am against the death penalty, but let her rot in jail for the rest of her life.
Someone tell me why the emergency room doctors said they observed old injuries on the baby? That is what makes me skeptical. Why isn’t the news talking about THAT?!? Because she is Hispanic?!? Stop it! Let’s look at the full, real evidence!

I believe Melissa older daughter was abusive towards her siblings when they was all younger . All the siblings that could talk at the time even said she didn't like the baby and was mean to her .
Child went to sleep and never got up.. where on the floor when paramedics arrived.. strange!

I know what’s unique about this case. Minority and a female. An activists dream. Sorry, we’re done here. Interrogations aren’t supposed to be comfortable. Evidence is there. Her actions leading up to this tragedy speak volumes.

IF YOU ACTUALLY PROPERLY RESEARCH THIS CASE IT WAS A SIBLING THAT HAD BEEN ABUSIVELY MISTREATING AND HARMING THE DECEASED DAUGHTER. NOT THE MOTHER. It’s incredibly ignorant for all of you to jump to conclusions and not use your critical thinking skills to expand on more than what is and what could be obvious. None of her 14 children want her to die and neither does the rest of her family. If Abbott doesn’t hold her execution and allow her case the proper treatment it never got and still deserves, especially after a corrupt DA in office during her ordeal was imprisoned and reviews of cases during his time in office have been requested to be reviewed now (he was guilty of bribery and more), then he needs to wheel himself the f*** out of office.

This woman is innocent. There was wrongfully withheld evidence in her case that one of her deceased daughters siblings had been physically harmful to her and other siblings actually witnessed the fall down the stairs. They also wrongfully didn’t allow that evidence to be viewed in court by the jury and all either. There is legitimate proof her defense attorney did not do his job honestly, ethically, or correctly. On top of that, the district attorney that was in office during her ordeal is now in prison for bribery involving multiple cases & corruption. Every case he was in office for has been called for review if I remember correctly and that should definitely include hers. She has 14 children and now multiple grandchildren and none of them want her to die.
If this was a man, he would already be dead. Female privilege.
Clearly racism. She got the death penalty for killing one person she may not have even killed. I can understand the death penalty for someone who killed more than one person on more than that one occasion.

The child had more than a couple bruises. She admits that the baby had pinch and bite marks. I think she’s guilty because she saw her child with the bruises, even if she didn’t actually abuse her she knew that baby was being abused and did nothing to stop it
