Rescuers drilled deeper into the rubble of a collapsed road tunnel in northern India on Friday in order to construct a pipeline to enable 40 trapped workers to crawl to freedom.

Dumb headline. There is no race against time. They have air, water, food, and communication. They can stay there indefinitely while a rescue plan is executed.

Digging tunnels in Indian Kashmir was a dangerous project from the start as most all Kashmir has unstable and soft mountain soil. Landslide, split opening and sinking of land is normal there.
