I always hit the local gun shops and a few years ago was talking with the guy behind the counter while filling out yet another 4473 form. I asked if anyone was ever denied when their information was called in,,he said yes. I asked what the police said, he told me they're never called! Now why when someone is trying to buy a gun,,,and they are denied for whatever reason are the police immediately notified? It's all on computer so the system should automatically dispatch the police to the store to at least question the person trying to buy a gun and determine appropriate action if any. Understanding that the state can goof up things too causing the denial.

No one is asking who is doing these background checks? Or why he didn't pop up as a high risk. Is there no process. Or is the process faulty? Who is getting fired? Who is being held accountable for him having been able to purchase a weapon. Can we please quit playing ring around gun rights and just enforce background laws? getting rid of guns is stupid. Please stop trying to disarm and start making the process of background checks work. If it is a failed system then hire people who can and will make it work or overhaul the system.
