It was a shame that Richardson previously injured his shoulder because he would have been an ideal bowler on the last Ashes tour of England. Swing and seam in both directions off the English pitches would have been a real threat and Richardson can regularly produce those unplayable deliveries for any top level batters.

I was saying last season that Mitchell Starc should have been replaced by Richardson during the India series. Starc was terrible last year and cost Australia the series with his terrible bowling. Starc's father died and his mind wasn't focused on cricket so he should have been rested for the last two tests.

How do you drop a bloke who bowled his heart out and won you a test match? The biggest moment for me in this game was when Butler snicked on 0 and Warner ran away from the catch and the keeper just stood there like he had cement boots. If you are in an important catching position, you get behind everything, the catch was the keeper's, but the reason first slip stands a bit further back is so he can move across without hindering the keeper. Both should buy Richardson a beer for making their blunder less of a talking point. Imagine if Butler had saved the game.
I was disappointed in his performance for Punjab Kings.
