Well yeah? Its a test launch. It would be a failure if it didn't launch at all and exploded in the launch platform. Thats one of their goals to extensively test the strongest and biggest rocket that has ever been created to to reach mars. Its the first step out of many. You can criticize them if they failed during the actual launch with people or real payload on that rocket.
