I do agree with roof = 6 ever since Mike Hussey got ripped off, when a shot, that was clearly going for 6, hit the roof and the umpires then signalled dead ball. Don't leave it to the discretion of the umpires because then you'll have all sorts of inconsistent rulings and people will be calling for umpires to be sacked…
