  1. They had formidable bowling but their batting was heavily dependent on their top order… When Buttler's form started faltering, Sanju couldn't take them far enough despite Jaiswal's heroics.. Their batting middle order too didn't do enough..

  2. The game against RCB in Jaipur made it table turners.

  3. Very good discussion, the real facts why RR failed to qualify

  4. RR always seem to be very rigid in picking their XI and impact subs, which sometimes doesn’t make sense. Improper management of Padikkal’s batting position and underutilisation of Holder are another few to be named.

  5. And actually Sandeep sharma performed quite well for them, bar one no ball. If he hadn't performed well, they could have been even worse in points table.

  6. Teams knew about impact player rule before they went into auctions. That's why people like Amit Mishra and piyush chawla were purchased.

  7. Sm summarized quite well, Royals off field tactics needs to be qurstioned. Dont think many of it was based on cricketing sense. 3 games needs to be investigated: ones vsMI, SRH, RCB.

They looked too suspeciois: seemed to be suggesting that IPL is financially more viable when MI, CSK, RCB stays in contention for modt of IPL. Hence had to care fully script to ensure more teams stayed in contention till last league game

  8. Sandeep's No ball made them sit out as simple as that. Otherwise you'd praising them.

  9. Face it! The RRs were over scheduled in the first few weeks of the tournament and no one in the IPL leadership was going to owe up to that fact!

  10. Sangakkara failed to win anything for SL even with several superstars in his team. Some of these guys just do not know how to win. Sangakkara will be a good riddance for Rajasthan Royals.

  11. One other flaw with RR was not knowing how to manage their players. For example Devdutt padikal. He is no use to the team if he doesnt come to bat in the powerplay and everytime he started early, he has made runs. As soon as they realised Butler has lost his form, they should have tried Jaiswal- Padikal as the opening pair and got Buttler to finish the game.

  12. When Sanjay Manjrekar starts speaking, skip the video and spend your time wisely….

  13. Sanju samson is very Brilliant captain

But luck is important . His luck is 0%.

  14. How much contribute rohit sharma in 2023….

  15. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) faced a disappointing defeat primarily due to their continued reliance on a set of underperforming players, such as Riyan Parag and Devdutt Padikkal. Despite their inconsistent performances, these players were consistently given opportunities, which affected the team's overall performance.

One notable aspect was the team's failure to utilize the talents of Akash Vashist effectively. Rather than giving him a chance to showcase his skills, the team opted for Abdul Basit, who only bowled a single ball, thereby limiting the potential impact he could have had on the game. This decision not only deprived the team of an alternative option but also showed a lack of strategic planning.

Another critical factor that worked against RR was their handling of Jos Buttler's form. When Buttler was not firing on all cylinders, the team management should have considered giving him some rest or, at the very least, dropping him to a lower batting position, such as number three. This adjustment would have allowed him to regroup and find his form while also ensuring that the team's batting order remained strong.

Furthermore, RR missed the opportunity to explore other viable options, such as Donovian Ferria. Including players like Ferria, who possess the skills and potential to make an impact, could have injected much-needed quality and diversity into the team's gameplay. Their failure to utilize such alternatives showcased a lack of foresight and adaptability in crucial stages of the game.

Overall, RR's defeat can be attributed to their consistent reliance on underperforming players, ineffective utilization of promising talents like Akash Vashist, failure to address the struggling form of key players like Buttler, and the missed opportunity to incorporate players like Donovian Ferria. These collective shortcomings underscored a lack of quality injection and strategic decision-making during crucial moments of the game, ultimately leading to their downfall.

  16. Yashasvi Jaiswal 💞 Future star Amazing performance this season for RR

  17. RR has not understood what is meant by Impact Player. They didnt use it properly. Team Management ( Sanju, Sanga, malinga ) should have more clarity of thought. A season lost due to tactical blunder. Please remove Riyan Parag from this team

  18. I felt following is the main reason why they failed to reach play off.

Lack of death over specialist is the one of the main reason, Kuldeep sen and obed mccoy should have replaced with other players since they were not fit in the season.

Should think practically than emotionally , just an example Backing Riyan parag without any use

Not sure why they took Donovan Ferreira , they should have given a chance to him like how CSK used Shivam Dube

Jason holder was not used properly when they given the chance.

Note: 3 match they lost in single digit while chasing run, and 2 match they lost in last over while giving more than 15 runs. Up and down may happen for a team. Hopefully they will comeback very strong in next season.

  19. Just the difference between Cricbuzz trio vs them

  20. Sanju Samson is biggest reason

  21. The 59 allout against rcb was the one for me. Until then you thought alright, there have been some close matches, its the t20 format, so it happens but that collapse was unforseen and shocked everyone. I mean even collapses do happen in this format but the way it happened with every batsman trying to hit their way out and not being sensible at all was just sad to watch. Otherwise it was a top 2 team for many

  22. Reason why RR failed:
    1. Too much overthinking, not trusting some players like holder to promote up the order where runs were needed
    2. Constant bad selection of players like parag, obviously due to his connections.
    3. Sanju not showing enough consistency and making certain questionable decisions in the field as captain
    4. Buttler total lack of form in 2nd half, he should be accountable as well

  23. Sanju Samson is terrible captain, period.

The only reason RR qualified last year is because Jos Buttler was in amazing form.

I feel sorry for Jaiswal, because the season he absolutely kills it, is the same season his team ends up bottling so many matches that they should have won.

  24. Padikkal should be releaed next year, he can't bat lower order and with Jaiswal, Jose and sanju he won't get to bat up the order.

They should also throw out Parag and bring in some solid middle order batsmen.

  25. Krunal pandya does not deserve a place in 11,

  26. Who is the fat guy in a green shirt? How did he become an expert? Manjrekar has always been jealous of Sangakkara, so pinning the blame on him for tactical errors on the field. What a clown
