Common Sense states there is not going to be any kind of negotiated a settlement at this time or in the near future. He has no bargaining chips. He needs to take out Kiev, take out the president which in its own right will make him a martyr making the people fight twice as hard, he needs to take out Odessa which is a major port and at least one major city. If he retreats now he is going to look like a total fool. He will either be exiled or killed in a coup attempt. With the US economy hugely in debt, the US is now eager to take over the Russian oil reserves and mineral resources. The present Russian regime stands in the way of US' ambitions. Whereas detente could have been successful in avoiding the war in Ukraine, the USA has precipitated the Ukrainian war by its US intransigence in recent negotiations. The main stream media is biased and is conveniently avoiding this issue. The war in Ukraine could easily have been avoided by detente.

2. The head of the Presidential Administration, Andre Bodin, is a lawyer in the entertainment industry;
3. The president's chief policy adviser, Sergey Sheffey, is a comedy writer;
4. Ivan Bakanov, deputy chairman of the Ukrainian Supreme Intelligence Service, is the boss of a comedy film company;
5. Senior adviser to the Ukrainian National Defense Committee, Sergei Sivoko, is also a comedian and is Zelensky's partner in acting.
If you just look at their resume, you can't tell whether it is a film and television company or a country's decision-making body.
