Not a square foot of Ukraine's pre-2014 territory should be negotiated away for peace. This will only encourage Putin towards future aggressions. Those who suggest this do not understand WWII. Appeasement doesn't work with aggressive authoritarian leaders. It is a huge mistake. The harsh treatment of Ukrainian citizens by Russian troops contradicted the statement that this is a war of liberation by Russia.
The "I Want To Live" offer to Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine is brilliant. Through this program Ukraine has so far disarmed 25,000+ Russian soldiers without having to kill them. They can now be used in exchange for captured Ukrainian soldiers.
The Russian forces in Ukraine should refuse to fight, go home and assist in the removal of Putin and his regime from power. Or they should be given every opportunity to surrender and be treated as fugitives from a despotic regime; with the exception of those who have committed war crimes. This policy could significantly reduce the number of active Russian soldiers on the battlefield.

Processing these POWs will necessitate a huge logistical operation. NATO could assist in these logistics. Think creatively. A Special Humanitarian Operation (SHO). This would be a pretext for NATO forces to have boots and equipment on Ukrainian soil.
The videos of the newly mobilized Russian recruits are pathetic. We treat dogs better than this. This mobilization is a death sentence for these men. They are fresh meat for Russia's war machine. The value of human life in Putin's Russia is zero!
Given Putin's harsh treatment of Chechnya in the past, it is hard to understand why their people would support Russia in this war. Katyroz is a warlord, a traitor to his people and should be removed from power. Chechnya should declare its independence from Russian foriegn policy or at least stay neutral.
The war protesters being arrested in Russia should charge the police buses and fill them to capacity. Then remove the driver and have a protester drive the buses away. I.e. Steal the buses.

The Russian people are increasingly realizing this war is an unnecessary mistake by Putin. Note the 700,000+ young men fleeing Russian conscription. From their point of view, Putin's war is not worth dying for. They are not cowards. They are men of high character voting with their feet.
A king or dictator only maintains power while the people allow it. Russia needs Regime Change now! This war will be fought in Ukraine, but won on the streets of Moscow and Ste. Petersburg.
Letโs not kid ourselves. NATO is currently at war with Russia. NATO will either defeat Russia in Ukraine or fight it in other parts of Europe in the future. This includes Belarus. Give Ukraine everything they need to expel the Russian forces. This includes long-range missile systems. This is what will bring this war to a speedy end, forcing Russians to depose Putin and his regime.
The final solution to this war is the removal of Putin and his regime from power – By whatever means necessary. This includes civil war in Russia.
The hope is the Russian people will choose to become a cooperative and prosperous member of Europe and the global community.
