Thank god for their courage and solidarity in speaking out against this insanity. It takes a psychopath to even hint at nuclear aggression. I pray for the Ukrainians and Russian peoples.
Its not really a war yet.. They have just sent a small part of the army with old equipment into Ukraine to remove the western puppet regime. The army with all modern equipment is still at the Russian border.
My adopted Uncle Ray retired a LT. Colonel and had served in BOTH WW1 and WW2. He co-founded the first Masonic Lodge in Berlin only weeks after we entered Berlin in WWII. He was a 70 year member of the Masons. He was at the Nuremburg trials as a defense attorney for several Japanese generals who were all sentenced to death for War crimes. After his military he served as a federal Judge in Baltimore. He lived 94 years as the greatest human I have ever known. He taught me many things I still think about today and try to practice.
Why all this? Uncle Ray travelled the World in his life both as a soldier and a Diplomat. In the 70's he told me something I never forgot. He encountered and dealt with Russians all his life. He went to Moscow at the height of the Cold War on many legal matters. He once told me at a thanksgiving meal when I was kid that regardless of what I will hear about the Russian people over the upcoming decades,that I should always remember it's only the leaders of the communist Party and Government I should worry about, the Russian people in general are NO different than anyone else I will ever meet anywhere in this big World. Then gave me a handful of russian rubles he brought back (which was totally Illegal at the time) and told me all the stories about the good people he met and worked with in Russia and how they so admired America and wanted what we have. He also told me that we should never let those people down,and keep their hopes up high so that one day they might be free like us. I never forgot that.. We can not stand by and allow ANYTHING to crush that hope. It only reflects what we are SUPPOSED to be standing for on the World stage.
