I couldn't name one player off that team. I have zero interest, yet all of a sudden it's big news, just because some Hollywood celebs are involved. I didn't see NBC giving Wrexham the time of day before these guys came on the scene.
Spare a thought for Notts County, the oldest football club, far less money than Wrexham, over a 100 points but no automatic promotion, due to the FA rules. Big shout out for Mcauley Langstaff, 41 goals this season. 😊

TBH, this was only possible because Rob and Ryan put their own money, not the clubs, to buy great player and staff, and it totally paid off congrats to Wrexham and Ryan and Rob.

Americans only realising their sport teams and leagues are structured terribly. If you don't do well enough in almost every other sporting league outside of America you get relegated to a lower league for not being competitive enough. If you win your league you get promoted until you get to the highest league. No throwing games and you must perform.
Crazy thing is, my girlfriend and I just finished the last episode 1/2 hour before this happened. We wondered how they were doing this season so I just checked and can't believe the timing.

Someone (every news outlet for that matter) forgot that Rob McElhenney is the other "CO"-owner of the club. Jesus. Fact: Rob is the one that came to Ryam with the idea of buying a team.

The US monopoly fixed system does NOT work anymore. Clubs have the same opponents year in year out. It sniffles competition as there is no risk and rewards. The only rewards are being champions and losing so you have the first pick at the draft.

Excuse me, but Rob McEllenney deserves a huge shout-out. This was his passion project from the start. He is the one that got Ryan Reynolds involved. He is the one they had to hold back, from announcing all the plans they had (until they had the legal rights to make those changes). Huge congrats to all involved.
