Distributing money never works; and it will always end up funneling money to surrogates or fraudsters. You need a gov run health care system (like a public Kaiser running in a handful of regions) that is monitored by a bi-partisan and independent board for its planning, execution and expense, and to ensure that it runs efficiently with well defined performance metrics. There are a lot of fraudsters and even sizable companies in this country cheating money from the gov and from other people.
The penalty for stealing all that money should not be jail time, but hard physical work for 20 years like farming or construction no machinery and then that crime will not happen again this country. We need the workers. We don't need inmates.

We need to hire 10,000 fraud agents to investigate healthcare fraud, the defense industry, wage theft, and other scams of all sorts. A single payer healthcare system would save billions and greatly reduce fraud.

All of these medical clinics popping up in the community . They don’t take Medicaid or Medicare you have to pay. . Then they bill you after paying with credit card or cash. This happened to me when I was going to get my son tested for Covid and they didn’t take Medicaid. I received a bill later for the test that I paid for .

I'm pretty sure this is my life for almost a year now struggling to pay my bills. I called and begged everyone even the Medicare # provided in the pamphlet / book. And there response was you need to call the number on the letter you received yeah that's where the problem started.
