Its NOT a grandparent's obligation or duty to raise their grandkids! ITS NOT. Parents should raise their children. If the grandparents have the time, energy and inclination to assist, then so be it. But it is not their responsibility. This man seems like he should be retired but still is working, trying to hold his life together. That poor man. He is still in shock. His wife is hospitalized. His grandson shot and killed the children of friends. The grandson–a murderer of school children–is dead. Please, leave the guy alone to grieve. He clearly is very sorry and is not guilty of aiding or abetting the crime. He works hard and cared for the young man the best he could–something the kid's own parents failed to do.

How strange they are interrogating him like this when he himself is experiencing loss and shock like everyone else. I hope he doesn't feel like it was his fault. The reporter saying if he would have done anything different and then acting shocked and appalled he said he would report his grandson if he had known. I feel so terrible for this man, and his wife.
This is why it is so very important that when you see someone being bullied unmercifully you SAY SOMETHING TO THE SCHOOL, CPS, POLICE, ANYONE. But y'all decided to do NOTHING. Guns if any kind do not kill people, people who are criminals or have been bullied beyond endurance do. I am so sorry for these parents losses, but it is no one's fault, especially not Remington's, unless it is the fault of the bullies and people who didn't help him. The bullying obviously started at this age and although these kids are not in any way responsible, in his mind they are. If you truly cannot find it in your heart for forgiveness, money will not help. At least she the right individuals. The kids who bullied him, his mom who could care less, the schools that allowed it, the social workers and teachers who did nothing. Kids today are raised with no manners, they make fun of everyone, some bullied people can move on in life but it effects their life forever. Some can't. But to blame a gun is wrong. Mine never hurt anything but wild game. Yes I was bullied almost all my school years and it has made me very careful of trusting anyone, but I would never harm anyone. I would give anything to see my bullies now, I have a good life, bet their still unhappy.
